Why Access to Cooling Is No Longer Optional

As temperatures continue to rise, access to safe indoor cooling has become more than just a comfort—it’s a necessity.

For elderly individuals and underserved households, extreme heat can pose serious health risks. Unfortunately, many existing programs designed to support energy efficiency require upfront investment, homeownership, or complex application processes. This leaves a significant portion of the population without access to reliable cooling.

The Cool Care Project was created to address this gap directly. By focusing on practical, community-supported installations, we ensure that vulnerable individuals receive long-term solutions—not temporary relief.

Access to cooling should not depend on circumstance. It should be a basic standard of living.
