Why We Started
The Cool Care Project was founded by HVAC professional Tom Kelly in response to a critical gap observed in the field.
While rebate and financing programs are widely available, they often benefit those with the resources, property ownership, and time required to participate. Many individuals—particularly renters, low-income households, and the elderly—are left without access to cooling during increasingly extreme conditions.
This initiative was created to provide a direct, practical solution—one that prioritizes real outcomes over complexity.
Our Mission
The Cool Care Project provides safe, reliable cooling solutions to elderly and underserved households by installing high-quality air conditioning systems at little or no cost. Through partnerships with local HVAC professionals, suppliers, and community organizations, we deliver practical, long-term comfort where it is needed most.
Our Vision
We envision a future where no one is forced to endure dangerous indoor heat due to financial barriers or housing limitations. Access to safe, reliable cooling should be a basic standard of living—not a privilege.
